Tire ?

First post here with a ? I am 53 and haven't ridden my bike in a few years ( Health reasons) It is a 26" MB hardtail. I think the tires on it now are 2.35,(tubeless) I will have to dbl check. Anyway I need new tires and will more then likely be more on the street for awhile. Can you recommend a good tire for the street and some hard pac ?
Thanks
Jack

The Schwalbe Marathon Supreme is a great road tire for a mountain bike. It's a slick, so it rolls fast on pavement but won't be ideal on wet earth. It's not cheap, bit it will last for several thousand miles and you may never flat. https://www.schwalbetires.com/node/37

For less money the Performance Forte is a good tire. This tire has a reverse tread pattern and works well on both pavement and loose gravel: https://www.performancebike.com/bikes...513#reviewsTab

For pavement and hard pack I'd get a slick.

If I were buying a tire for myself today I think that I'd get Schwalbe Big Apples. I've never used them myself but they seem to get good reviews and I think that a skinny tire is going to look goofy on your bike.
