Can a 49er visit?

I'll be 49 in a few days. My annual and monthly mileages vary, but I've been hooked on bikes since I was big enough to sneak my older brother's bike out and push it up and down the driveway dreaming I was riding.
I hope no one minds that I hang out once in a while. I'm definitely feeling old and out out of shape, mainly because I'm out of shape :( and hope I can glean some good advice here. I enjoy casual recreational riding and commuting mostly, and definitely plan on some s24o touring.

The more you ride, the younger you'll feel!

Feel free! we're generally pretty open minded around here except when we aren't.:)

We probably should take a vote.

Figure out what your age would be in metric time.

Being 49 you can visit for only 1 year and after that you officially belong regardless.

Do you have any questions about colonoscopies?

You're right, we are. What's up with that sticky from Stormcrowe about our tone? This is about the least tone-problem forum on the boards.

Sure, you can visit. Pull up a seat and set a spell, just stay off the lawn.:50:

If you're forty-nine, then you're in your fiftieth year, so that should count for something. Also, in three months you will have been in existence, if only as a fertilized egg, for fifty years.

Most of us feel like kids when we ride. Are you sure you are young enough?

You aren't officially an old man until you get an invitation in the mail to join the AARP. However, convincing a young salesperson you qualify for the senior discount is also an indicator.
Do you qualify? :)

Just consider it like strolling through a retirement home. You will belong here eventually.

But, STAY OFF THE LAWN!
