Found another gem, in Ohio this time
In my continuing quest for bike trails on my travels, I found a great one this past Sunday.

If you get the chance, you should check out the Little Miami Scenic Trail as well. It runs from the Hamilton County Parks golf course in Newtown (Cincinnati suburb) to Springfield (total distance around 75 miles) and connects with several other trails. A lot of it parallels the Little Miami River. It also runs under the Jeremiah Morrow bridge on I-71.

Nice video, Dan. I also really like your cockpit setup. Did you modify a regular set of bars, or find some in that shape? Don't know that I've seen any with quite that profile.

Now that's what I'm talking aboot: a first class amateur bike video. Interesting, well-edited, pleasant musical background. Chapeau!
I've done the Dayton the Yellow Springs spur a few years ago, the first 50 miler I've ever turned in. Chilly and I had a nasty headwind on the way back.
Later this this year I'd like to travel from Milford to Dayton, roughly 76 miles, but nearly all flat.

Hi Dan,
Nice video! If you are ever in the Akron, Ohio area you should try the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath. It runs from Cleveland to Zoar, but the best of it is along this section as detailed here: https://www.nps.gov/cuva/planyourvisi...path-trail.htm

Very nice work, Dan, and a real service to people looking for bike routes. Am I correct in that you drive a big rig, and that's where you had your bike?
And you're from Canada, right?

I'm always on the lookout for riding locations, but scheduling a ride is often a challenge. Sometimes, I'm just scheduled too tight, and other times, I'm just too tired.

Dan, love the video, love the commentary. It's fantastic that you ride as a trucker. I know that truckers, many I think, have a difficult time getting exercise.

It is actually pretty subtle, there was one "aboot," and one "check oot".
Your story is quite interesting and impressive with your millions of miles of driving and your bike shop experience. Thanks for sharing that.
I enjoyed this video:
It reminds of a funny true story. A woman saw a man walking with a briefcase that was too full; it looked like it was going to burst open. She said "Your briefcase is going to burst open," and before he could look down, it did. He stared at her and said "How did you do that?"

Thanks for the video as it sure brought back memories. I used to ride both the Great Miami and Little Miami trails all the time when I lived in Springboro years ago.

If you were ever on 71 near fort ancient in Wilmington, you are only about 2 miles from the Little Miami trail from the rest area (if leaving the truck unattended there is acceptable). If you are heading south, the trail is accessible by country roads. If you are heading North, it looks like your best option would be to do a U turn, and stop at the southbound rest area.
