Enjoying Slowly Organizing a Bicycling Group

As some of you know, I have taken on the task of organizing a "Near 70 and plus" bicycling group here in Parker in conjunction with the Recreation Department.

We are very slowly getting things going, with several bicyclers involved and interested. I have enjoyed my relaxed rides with a couple of other bicyclers. I find that most of the interested folks are just a bit younger - i.e., 67 and 68yo. It seems they can keep up with me

Read about what we are doing:

Very cool... I did something similar for awile but eventually the small group (about 25 people) broke up. A small core (6) of us remain.

Actually the Bicycle Club of Irvine (CA) is a group of very fit oldsters. I think the club is around 500 strong. Check out the website: bikeirvine.org and the photos. Think average age is definitely 65+...

Private docent led mountain bike rides through Limestone Canyon. Go to letsgooutside.org and register today! Also available: hikes, equestrian rides and family events as well as trail maintenance and science study.
