I take a multi vitamin most days along with a D, time-release C, magnesium citrate, fish oil, plus E a couple of times a week. The brand that seems to provide best selection of ingredients, including all 11 B vitamins - and in the right proportions - is Natural Factors Super Multi, with or without iron. I have noticed that for long 8-10 hour days on the bike or on the trail, it really does make a difference to my endurance if I forget to take a multi-vite, probably because of the B-vitamins.

I take one every day in the morning.
I set it on top of my coffee maker, which I set-up the night before.
I just use Sam's Club brand, which is similar to Centrex, or whatever.
Obviously, I'm not too sophisticated about it.

I don't take specific vitamins because I think my diet is varied enough.

I do however take a spoonful of cod liver oil (vitamin D) every day to help the bones, as there is a family history of arthritis. Started as a kid on my mum's orders and, other than my teens where it wasn't a "cool" thing to do, have always done so.

I take 2,000 IU of vitamin D every day. If I miss a few days in a row I start to feel real sluggish like I'm walking around under water.

I take vitamins are made specifically for Mature Males (or so if says on the label). Even though I take two of them every day I still don't seem very mature. I think they are Costco brand, maybe that's why.

I take a Sam's Club brand Multi-Vitamin, which is similar to Centrex. I also take a B Complex Vitamin, and a low-dose aspirin.

But I don't take any of them daily. I don't really feel/think I need any of them... but I take them preventively. Only when I feel physically stressed.

I only take ½ tab of B-Complex and, only on days I ride. Otherwise, I keep my system clean. Don't want to overload the liver.

A generic Senior MultiVitamin with Minerals every day even though I am aware that the evidence in support of this practice is pretty slim.

Centrum Men's 50+ - I buy it onthe INET in huge bottles for about 4 cents per tablet. Does it do any good? I don't know, but read some research somewhere that there were some positive studies. Makes my wife happier.

Generic senior multivitamin comparable to Centrum Silver. I also take extra Vitamin D during the winter months. I picked a multivitamin with moderate doses, especially for the fat soluble vitamins. Won't hurt, might help.

You are a very smart man Mr. Fox! If you can keep your wife happy for 4 cents a day that is a bargain not to be missed!

On my side, I have to plead with my wife to take her vitamins . . . but she vary rarely does.

I also try to remember that these things aren't health-candy. It is self-medicating after all.

I take a generic "Senior" vitamin + D-2000 + a calcium, magnesium & zinc tab or 2.
When I broke my tib & fib a bit over a year ago, my D level was about 1/3 what it should have been thus the addition of D. (I was taking d-10000 for about 3 months right after I got the steel rod inserted)
Pre break, I'd take a vitamin tab when I thought about it, which was probably 1/week.

Last July 31 (my annual go for broke mileage day) I rode my hybrid 70 miles, breaking my previous best by 20. If I'd known how good I'd feel at the end, I would have taken shorter breaks during the day. I was probably good for another 15, but it was getting dark.
2 years previously when I set my PR @ 50 miles, I was beyond "spent", even though I had about twice as many training miles that month.
The bike was exactly the same except I'd built a set of skinny wheels and carried a tool kit.
No hills.

BTW- My vitamin is also a "compare to Centrum" type.
Has anybody ACTUALLY compared them? I tried to compare labels when I was in the store, but didn't have my magnifying glass.

Our doctor had us stop the Multi years ago. We had a blood workup done and she took it from there. Current blood work-up shows she has our numbers spot on.

Just don't take the anti-oxidants like C, A and E. https://www.heart.org/HEARTORG/Condit...4_Article.jsp#

I take a twice a day Centrum Specialist Heart. Then I add 500 MG chewable vitamin C, krill oil, and a garlic with cayenne capsule. I guess twice a day spreads out the dosages.
