Here's a challenge for you bents.

She's the daughter of a former workmate of mine.

Wow! Call me a wimp, but I think I'll just settle for reading about this one. I didn't feel the slightest wish to take up the challenge.

My impression is that recumbents are more popular in Europe and that they have a much younger target audience. Azub produces full suspension bents that can go virtually anywhere. I suspect that fully loaded, they are more stable than DF bikes.

Of course trikes are going to be the most stable of them all.

Well I have a recumbent and I prefer the cold to the hot. But I think I'll just wait for the outcome from here!! That seems really intense!

Quite a feat!

Interesting that the linked article states that "........she went for a four-wheel recumbent cycle." Clearly a tricycle in the picture and in all the other articles I've seen.

Still another record for recumbents. BTW by taking a more difficult route, leaving two days later, she still beat two DF riders. Bents in some form hold all of the world records as far as I know.

Thanks for the post. That is an incredible feat. I've decided to put off my polar ride until I can get a bent. And train my body not to freeze.
