Fuji Team Pro

I don't know if this is the right place for this but I'm 52 so I'll post it here.
Is a 2009 Fuji Team Pro a good bike. I am looking to upgrade from the Trek 1.2 and I have already sold the 1.2 so I am bikeless. I am looking at the Trek Madone 2 series, Domane 2 series or a good used bike. Any opinions on the Fuji?

CF bike with full Ultegra drive train. Very nice bike. We've got 4 Fuji bikes and are very happy with them.

If you're looking for a go-fast road bike, yes. Fuji is an excellent brand that has been around for many years and has a good reputation for build quality.

What is the asking price and how is it equipped (other than stock)?

Fuji's are excellent. I like the looks and specs of the Altimira.

I'm building up a Fuji Team Issue and am very excited about it!

Nuttin wrong with Fuji.

If you're willing to go Di and you're the right size, you might want to consider this:

Something doesn't seem quite right. All I have seen is a pic that's not real clear and the owner stated the bike has Tiagra components. According to Fuji website it should have Ultegra? I'm supposed to look at it Saturday. It's listed for $500.

If the bike has Tiagra components I would not consider it much of an upgrade from what you had wait and look for something better, If it has Ultegra fits (most important part) and is in good condition It may be worth it. That only you can decide once looking at it.

Here's mine with a few upgrades (sorry for the shadows). I love it to death. Frame is stiff and comfortable, and the drive-train is Ultegra 6600 (6700 compact crank), and I upgraded the wheels.

My gf has a Fuji Team Superlight that I bought for her in '06. It weighed 16 lbs 13 oz w/o pedals and has been a great bike for her. AL frame w/ CF fork. I know it's not the same model but Fuji's are well worth owning IMO.

Never mind what you used to have. What kind of bike do you want to buy? What do you want it to weigh?

Components don't affect the ride very much at all. Mostly it's the fit, the tires, and the weight. Geometry plays into it, too. While the frame is the most expensive part of the bike, the most important upgrade is tires, not the frame. Components are the least important thing.

If the Fuji originally came with Ultegra and now has Tiagra, maybe the seller downgraded it. Or maybe he started with just the frame and built the bike that way. It makes the bike worth a little less in market value, but it doesn't affect ride quality.
