Pshaw, I used to winter camp in the Adirondacks. 40 below was enough for me to appreciate warmth for the rest of my life, I just don't see the point in refreshing my memory. I might be getting old, but I haven't become forgetful yet.

We are stuck in another cold spell, like near zero last night. Yesterday it snowed again. I don't know why people call it a solar vortex. Frankly with all this cold we could all use a bit of sun. Why would people complain about a bit of sun this time of year?

Uh, Roseanna, that's not solar vortex. That's polar vortex.

What? Oh, that's very different. Never mind.

I rode the Katy Trail today from Greens Bottom to Defiance and back. Cold and windy but an enjoyable ride anyway. Saw one other biker.

Your bike is so clean that the only thing left to do is put on a third coat of wax on the frame and get the snow blower out again in hopes it's the last time you have to clear snow from the driveway.

When you hang your fat tire bike with studs up for the season!

And pull down your cross bike for the transition
