Regarding the complaints about "where are the threads about cycling." The complainers could always start one...

Is your area troubled by humans who defecate all over the yards and sidewalks, while letting their dogs run loose? We don't have that problem where I live.

Good choice. A Glock 19 as mentioned is way too large framed. I don't bother carrying while riding but if in certain bear country camping, a G29 might be effective with Double Tap loaded really hot. I am already riding heavy enough and I think dogs prefer more meatier subjects and thus, they seem to leave my lard butt alone. Either that or they are not intimidated by my zoned out trance melting up a hill.

The difference between the 50+ crowd is generally they will see poor humour in what I wrote above as move on whereas the younger tea cups will get their panties all bunched up at the mere thought of self defense against a mangy mongrel and go crying to the moderators.

He's talking about the Highlands. It can get pretty weird there.

I live in the rurals of N Michigan where we have bear, cougars, wolves, badgers and all manners of other creatures including drug addicts. I dont carry while riding but when in the woods I sling a Marlin Guide *** .45-70 packing handloaded fullhouse hollowpoint rounds. Dogs dont bother me too much, it's the other stuff that can bolt out of the cedar swamps on the remote, lovely rides that keep my avg mph bumped up.

I don't think any posting should be moved without the permission of the OP. The job of the moderator should only be keeping things civil.

This is what we're talking about. I'm telling you, it can get freaky out there.

I was gonna carry my Beretta 96 in my jersey pocket, but the back of the jersey sags to my knees!

You know, I really want to shave my legs. My hairy legs barely brush up against the handlebars of my SWB bent and it bugs the crap out of me.

The reason I don't is because I'm afraid what my wife will do to me when she finds out.

What does this say about my manliness?

Shes leaving for Seattle tomorrow (I'm not going, and that is not fair), so I can shave my legs on Friday. Anybody know how to do it? Grab her Venus razor? Nair for Men?

One more thing, lest this be turned into an Addiction thread (not a bad idea): I hate to be open to reason, but I guess Bruce is right. My main objection to the A&S posts is that I hate to read about some rider being run over or some mindless bureaucrat making life miserable for the very people who pay his/her/whatever's salary. Don't like the thread? Don't click it. Or click it, or picket.

Anyway.

Shaved my legs many years ago and boy did that feel funny. Nice and cool though. Shave my head, between shoulders, and that cools things also even though there's no worries about what little gray matter that's left overheating.

Having a 1908 Colt 25 Hammerless being cleaned and conditioned right now to carry.

Dogs can smell handloaded fullhouse hollowpoint rounds a mile away.

Is Northern Michigan the northern part of the lower part below the Upper?

Straight up but you forgot about the media conspiracy. This is the internet, the internet is the media, so it's all part and parcel the conspiracy to fool everyone who isn't wise to it like us into abandoning everything American. Or everything Chinese, (in deference to our membership from China), because it's one more step to the One Worlder new World Order.

You can't have a refund, because China owns all our debt, and if this is off-topic it just proves what you said.
