2014 Le Tour de Bayou - Anyone?

Le Tour de Bayou - This Saturday, September 20th. Fundraiser for the Kent House Plantation.
  • 5K Run
  • 2 mile family fun ride / walk
  • 9, 31, 49, 66 and 102 mile rides
Anyone here riding, other than me and possibly Dr. J? Not too many from central Louisiana on BF (at least 50+) that I'm aware of. I was going to do the 49, but with so little riding under my belt this year I'm riding the 31 instead. Missed last year, but enjoyed the first annual event in 2012.

I'm registered and planning to ride. Looking forward to the ride and a post-ride pig out.

I guess the after-ride activities will be going on continuously after all the rides end. Given the close starting times, there's no way all rides will end even near the same time. I'll have to see how long I want to hang around kitted up. Maybe I should park onsite instead of down the road like I did last time.

Enjoyed the ride: Le Tour de Bayou 31 (32 actually) mile ride

Great weather, all things considered. Was starting to warm a bit, but far less than I've often seen in September here. Slight return headwind (isn't there always? ), but a great ride and well-organized event all in all. Looking forward to Dr. J's report from his century ride.
