That ended up being an unintended training ride....

I've been hitting it pretty hard getting ready for the up coming El tour de Tucson, and knowing I'm going to do an hour of hard intervals at the gym tomorrow, I decided to go out and do an easy 40 miler on the MUPS this morning.

It started out great, but I did hit a couple of spots where the blacktop had buckled about 8 miles in, causing me to think I might want to check how true my rims were after the ride. A little while later, I started to gas out a bit, which led me to think it just wasn't my day. About 35 miles into the ride, I looked at my front wheel and noticed how out of true it was. That's when I looked at the brake spacing and found out my front brake was hanging up on the right side, so I popped the tension release, and all of a sudden things got easier.

I guess I'll have to break out the tools this week.

I like it; nothing quite like brake rub to add a little spice to your work out.
