2015 Riding Calendar

I just looked at my calendar for 2015 and it is filling up quickly:

March 14 - 107 mile gravel ride (Land Run 100)
March 21 - 50 mile gravel ride (Race Against the Chainring Series)
March 28 - 50 mile gravel ride (Race Against the Chainring Series)
April 18 - 50 mile gravel ride (Race Against the Chainring Series)
April 25 - 50 mile gravel ride (Race Against the Chainring Series)
May 9 - 62 mile ride (Tour de Cure)
May 16 - 100 mile ride (Wicked Wind 100)
May 29 - 31 - 300 mile ride (Cottonwood 300)
June 12 - 20 - 500 mile ride (Bike Across Kansas)
June 27 - 100 mile ride (Bike MS)

May 16 to the end of June is shaping up to be epic (at least for me)

Looks like there is gong to be lots of saddle time as the weather starts to turn nice in order to get ready. In the mean time I will be spinning 5 days a week and riding as weather permits.

Wow Planemaker, You're on top of your 2015 ride schedule so early . . . I'm impressed!

My 2015 is a total question mark as far as "event" rides go. Maybe I'm still suffering a bit of burn-out from 2014, i.e. feeling "end of the year" and not planning for next year yet.

My cycling friends are already talking about Camino Real, the first double-century of the season (Feb.) . . .

Maybe over the Holiday break I'll sit down with a 2015 calendar and try to make some plans. Good on you for being on top of things so early!

Is July a recovery month?

My only planned ride for 2015 so far, will be Pikes Peak in July.

Around here organized rides tend to drop off and then really pick up in August, September and October. I don't know the dates yet but, I know I will have the following rides later in the year:

August - Tour de Parish Metric
August - Pedalfest Metric
August - Heather's Ride - 75 miles
Labor Day - Gorilla 100
September - Flalanders Metric
September - Walnut Valley Metric
October - Tour de Bass Century

We are actually blessed with lot's of organized charity rides that don't cost a great deal of money to enter (they are well sagged and the cost is usually less than $50, typically between $25 and $35)

I will be using the CA Triple Crown season as my vacation guide for 2015.. at least partially. I am thinking of El Camino Real this year, and Davis. If I ride El Camino Real, I probably wont ride Hemet, though
