Rollin Rollin Rollin
I’m thinking about getting a set of rollers to improve my form and for when the weather is just not appropriate for riding outdoors. I was looking at the Kreitler alloy roller system (3.0 in drum dia.), $366.70 on Amazon. But then I read all the positive reviews of the Nashbar reduced radius rollers (85mm drum dia.) for $129.99. I’m leaning toward the Nashbar rollers. Any advice from the Fifty Plus club? Thanks!

Don't try to understand 'em.

Might want to read some of these replies in a recent/active thread about rollers v. a trainer.http://www.bikeforums.net/fifty-plus...r-rollers.html
I loved rollers back in the 70's, and 80's, I had a set of Kreitler rollers. Wish I still had them, either a new set or a trainer will happen shortly. God luck on your starting in with them, if you go with them. The Nashbar rollers are a good choice, some reviews were very positive about them. Bill |
I only have rollers, so I much prefer rollers with resistance.

I have only ever had rollers. The same rollers I bought back around the mid-'80's. The are Nashbar foldable ones and they continue to work well. I love rollers.

Tacx has a not quite straight cylinder drum , to give your wheel a tendency to stay in the center, it is slightly smaller diameter in the center of the Drum.
Nice.. I saw them in the LBS.. Myself, I just put on my Rain Gear & go places.. |
