I think you're confusing bike "size" with bike "FIT" (ie., the measurements like saddle height & fore/aft, and bar reach -- horizontally -- and drop -- vertically). You can get a bike that's a size smaller or larger than ideal to fit, but depending on your exact fit needs, it may not be optimal. Bike fit being less than ideal will affect BOTH comfort and efficiency (speed/power output). For instance, if my bar is just a cm too low or far from the saddle, my power output drops about 20%. You need to know your ideal FIT in order to have a good idea on what size frame is ideal for you.

What do you think about this bike? Based on the review it says its adjustable to fit any size in one frame: Universal Bike ? one frame to fit them all

Interesting, but I don't think it's a good replacement for a professional fit.

I would recommend you go to your local bike store and talk to them. If you're absolutely new to cycling, then "recreational" should be your answer to the question "what type of riding do you like/ do.

After having been off a bike for years, I re-started riding in the same place. recreationally. Short sweaty rides.

I test rode many bikes and found one that suited my needs and worked up from there. If you are serious, it is well worth the money for a professional fit. This does not mean a fit for professional racers. it means the fitter has lots of experience. Once you have your fit numbers, you can shop more specifically for your bike. Otherwise you may buy one that you won't be happy with in the long run.

That's my .02. Best of luck !
