GURU fit system

Stumbled across their website The Experience while looking at some saddles. Has anyone tried this fit system? I also saw that there are some shops near me in NJ and NYC that supposedly have this fit system. I have done the Serotta fit system about 9 years ago after I bought the Ridley at High Gear Cyclery in Sterling, NJ. I wonder if its time for a fit "tune up" since so much time has passed.

As they say, the FITTER is much more important than the tools/system they used. Had 2 Guru fittings from 2 fitters . . . those fits were at least as uncomfortable and inefficient as the other non-Guru fittings I've had done.

I had a GURU fit done recently after taking 16 months off the bike for three surgeries, including an orthopedic shoulder repair as well as some lower-back issues. I got my new bike 10 days ago and so far I'm not totally convinced that the GURU was any better because of its system. Is the fit-bike moving electronically cool? Absolutely, no doubt about it. But I'm still having some issues with fit/comfort. The fitter I had was supposedly experienced but I'm not sure he was necessarily the best option. I'm probably going to get a RETUL fit done in a few months as my body recovers/adapts to riding again.

I will say this: the GURU experience is cool. It's neat watching your power numbers change in response to minor adjustments of the fit parameters. If you can get it included for free as part of a bike purchase (which is what I did when buying my Domane) it's a great option. If not, and you're looking to optimize your current fit, I'd talk to other local cyclists about who is a super-experienced fitter.

Agree with pakossa-- shop the fitter, not the system.

Thanks for the replies. The electronic bike fit thing did look cool. But I think you're right in that the fitter makes the difference. I originally went to Bert at High Gear by a recommendation from another rider at the time. So I guess that's the best way to go to get a referral from one or more satisfied customers.
