Stack/Reach of road vs MTB

Hi,
I'm trying to compare geometries of road and MTB, to see what will feel more comfy, but obviously I'm missing something when using only stack/reach ratio.
The details:
Road: Specialized Allez, Size = 56, Stack = 596, Reach = 385, S/R = 1.55, Source = https http://www.specialized.com/us/en/all...=239797-129052
MTB: Specialized Rockhopper, Size M, Stack = 605, Reach = 418, S/R = 1.45, Source = https http://www.specialized.com/us/en/men...=240216-134064

S/R of Rockhopper comes out like of a racy road bike, so what other measurements should I use, to better find out if the Rockhopper is on the racy side or relaxed side ?

Thanks for your help !
JD.

What you're missing is the reach of a drop bar vs a flat bar.
Consider a mtb and roadbike pic from the side. Your hands are much closer to the pointy end of the frame on the mtb.

I have a different posture on my MTB than my road bike ..
Being tools for differing purposes..
have anyone to talk to in person about this? friendly bike shop?
your Specialized dealer?

they can see you, on the bike, I/we, cannot.
