New bike
I have two road bike, both setup by bike shops. I just picked up a hybrid (neck problem), if I measure from saddle to peddle at it’s farthest position, and set the new bike up at the same distance.
Will this work, or should I go to local shop to get it set up?

I'd try everything I could think of and if nothing worked for me, then I'd go to someone else and ask. Never has happened though.
It's not like a mistake in fit is going to ruin you forever in one ride or two.
For certain measuring the old and new will get you in the there-about range. From there you might find differences in your upright from not so upright positions might make you want to change is slightly.
