6'0" on 60cm frame?
Hello everyone, It's my first time posting here. So I am just getting into cycling and have decided to get a fixed gear bike before diving into an expensive road bike. I am trying to buy a used fixie that has a 60cm frame but I'm unsure as to whether or not I can fit on it. I am 6'0" with 31" legs. Is it likely that I can fit comfortably on that frame or should I be looking for fixies with 58cm frames? I appreciate any feedback.

possibly. you will need a short handlebar stem, need to drop the seat post a little and scoot the saddle forwards a tad.
6'0'' with a 33 inch inseam here. a 58cm or 59 would be better. a 59 is my sweet spot but i'm not super flexible and never (no, really) ride in the drops. i've ridden a 60 and would do so again with the modifications mentioned above. |
Ride would be OK, but stand-over very marginal.

33 inch inseam on the 60 cm bikes I have will have your saddle almost all the way down on the top tube. Not a good thing.
You really can't assume a 60 cm bike of one model fits like a 60 cm bike in another model. Even when from the same manufacturer. So if you are going to ask a bunch of strangers for help, then at least provide more information since we won't be with you when you look at the bike. |
I'm 5'11, have a longer leg measurement than you, and have no business on a 58. You should probably look for a 56.

Not with a 31 inch inseam, no. The seat tube and standover will likely be too much for you although the longer top tube would work well with your long torso. You'll be best off going a bit smaller and using a long stem.
