Vitus Venon EVO Frame Size

Hi,

I am 179cm tall (inseam 89.5cm - shorter torso/long legs), and looking to buy Vitus Venon EVO 2023 frame. I can post a link to the site as this is my first post here.

I have bike fit data

Saddle X - 20.6
Saddle Y - 71.2
Handlebar X - 456
Handlebar Y - 549

Which size should I go for please and what size of stem should I go for?

Many thanks.

Where did you get the fit data?

On the Vitus road bike with what I think is that frame, they show you should get a XL. However you are also very close to a L size which is just below that. You'll have more saddle to bar drop with the smaller size frame. So depending on what position you really want to be in should guide you some towards which.

Whether those fit measurements will work with that frame I don't know.

Did you buy it? I am looking for an "endurance" bike and discovered that one. Looks nice and a really reasonable price.

Your legs say XL but your overall height says L. Some might even say M. For an endurance bike the Venon is long and low. I say, if your arms are proportional to your legs and not your torso, and you're reasonably flexible, and you can get enough rise from the seatpost, get the L. If that is not the case, I'd suggest looking for a bike with more stack and a little less reach, like, say, a Giant Defy in M/L.

Of course, your stem length and rise will depend on your arm length and riding posture. I wouldn't go there without seeing how you sit on the bike.
