Replacement for Nashbar TFX Saddle
 

I've been using the Nashbar TFX saddle on my mountain bike for a few years and really love it. The specs on the saddle are 153mm x 280 mm. I wanted to order another TFX saddle for my road bike, but it is no longer offered by Nashbar. I have no idea who makes the saddle for Nashbar.

I looked at various online sites (Performance, AE Bike, etc.), but they don't always list the specs and it is hard to tell much from a picture.

Does anyone have recommendations for finding an equivalent saddle? Take the old saddle to a bike shop?

Infinite choices .. at least Thousand different saddles made. At the LBS* you get to take 1 off the wall peg and Sit On it.

online you cannot ..

*+ the take offs from new bike buyers wanting something else , are less than the same one with a display tag..

China .. its where people go for low prices..

Velo is the company that makes most of those cheap saddles. Look underneath your Nashbar saddle and see if it says "Velo".

I recently went through the same process. Years ago I bought a cheap Nashbar saddle to put on an old townie bike. It turned out to be the most comfortable seat I've ever owned and I started using it for touring. After 10,000+ miles it really needed to be replaced.

So I did a "Saved Search" on eBay. Every day I would be alerted of all the Velo saddles listed that day. It took many months but I finally found the exact replacement. Different brand name, but the same exact saddle.
