Hello,
On my wheel it is written 700 x 35C ALLOY - 618 x 18 ETRTO When I bought this bicycle it had a 700 x 42 C tier and (40 - 622) and I have to change this tire now and I have a new tier which is (42-622) 1.60 700x 40 C Now my question is shall I used this brand new tire I have or must I find a 700 x 35C? please help, every response appreciated. Kind regards. Rexxar |
ETRO is the Tire-Rim compatibility Agreement .. 618 Is in the who knows category .. have a bike shop ? take it to somewhere they can see what you have
618 Bead seat, is Way too small for a 622 tire Bead maybe you need a different wheel (or Bike ) ESL Hint .. Tire .. [ teir is a strata level, Think tall wedding Cake ] British English Spells it Tyre .. |
Cutting to the chase, on your wheels you can use any tire that is labelled "622" or "700c."
If your rim (the big roundy thing that ctually attaches to the tire) is steel (use a magnet to test it), you probably should not fill up the pressure above about 60 psi. Google "hooked bead rim" to find out why. Also check the definitions of "tire" and "tier." |
Hello!
fietsbob thanks, I just edited it, sorry English is not my native language, that was silly! Road Fan thanks for your response. I will then use this "tires" I have and watch psi value. |
Rexxar, what is your language?
