FYI for those that are interested, the ShareRoller Indiegogo campaign went live today. Already 68% funded after 11 hours.

I've never used indiegogo, it appears you can only select one perk... so presumably further down the line you can add to the order to include brackets that aren't included in the perk? Or is there a way of selecting multiple perks?

jegbrompton 10-21-15 09:59 AM

It's a somewhat frustrating system as they don't have a 'shopping cart', so you have to go through the checkout process for each 'Perk'. Alternatively, you can add in an 'Additional Gift' when you select a Perk in order to pay for a smaller add-on perk, but that won't work well for multiple add-ons. The good news is that you're not charged additional S&H each time unless the Perk has its own specific S&H charge.

I must say, it does have a high pitched whirr.

I think this vid is a good indication: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gWyv-3IBfuY

To newcomers the sound at top speed is definitely very obvious - friends and family have remarked on it being somewhat noisy at first.

In a quiet area it can sound whiny when pushed. Roadside it tends to just blend in with the rest of the noise. At low-mid throttle (5-15 mph) it's a low growl which does not attract much attention.

Unfortunately, the youtube linked to no longer permits viewing/listening.

Guess it might have something to do with the Indiegogo launch. Due to expire in about 17 days

Isn't indiegogo Scammable.. able to keep your money even if the product doesn't Fly?

I'm almost about to bite the bullet and get this to use with my scooter AND bikes. Since it's easily removed all I need are mounts for each bike I'd use it on. Regardless of the noise, it's definitely a nice portable option for the people who own multiple rides.

Would you mind updating your experience with your share roller? How is it holding up, holding the charge, and how much wheel wear have you noticed? I'm thinking about it for next go-round...whenever that is.
