Seriously though, at this point it would be best to let things cool down a bit until a Helix is found out in the wild.

As a real Canadian, I am offended. We will immediately strike up a 5 year, $2.5 million Royal Commission to study this national crisis. We will not invite you our annual snow shovelling competition (bigger than hockey, eh?). And we will immediately cease exporting poutine and maple syrup. So there.

As a real American, I am offended by Trump. Given that his doctors just said he is obese, clearly he is unfamiliar with bicycles. You can keep the poutine but please don't stop the maple syrup. ;-)

Okay... just for you, we'll keep selling you the maple syrup at our super discounted rate of only 8X markup. Just for our American friends, of course...

I had poutine for the first time in Quebec. My impression was that someone had left over McD's fries, and emptied the other refrigerator leftovers on top, then covered it in gravy to try to make it palatable. Apparently it is great hangover food, though, lol. There are some "foodie" versions where I live that I have yet to try, the most interesting being from a Montreal Smoked Meat Deli-style restaurant which sounds pretty authentic. One thing for sure, though - do NOT eat it expecting to be able to ride after. Imagine a NY forgettaboutit lock in in your stomach, haha.

I'd never heard of this, and for those who don't know either: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poutine

Loved reading some of these articles. Makes me realize that part of the reason I bought into Brompton was that irrational feeling of exclusivity - see? I bought something from a company that cared for quality and its employees. The idea of craftsmanship. Similar to the feeling when I ride one of my Rivendells, or use my Tom Bihn bag, or Saddleback leather bag. Of course, I'm in a position where I can finally afford modest luxuries... first world problems. I'll count myself fortunate that I can obsess over details about a folding bike.

Who would have ever guessed that when this thread was hijacked, it was over poutine.

@linberl, I'm also in the East Bay... and can confirm the existence of a poutine restaurant in Berkeley. It's a Canadian chain (Smokes Poutinerie), but all they serve is poutine.

~2 weeks until the thread's third anniversary. Will a Helix appear in the wild before then?

Haha! Well, you have to admit it's better than endlessly talking about titanium prices (unless poutine means titanium in French)!
