Not sure if this would fit your "folding fat bike" criteria, but I still have the bike I detailed in this thread:

Ritchey makes a Break-Away 27.5 frame though it's only for normal 2" MTB tires. Break-Away Ascent Adventure Bike Frameset | Ritchey

You could use S & S couplers to convert a fat bike frame to a breakaway.

The ONLY folding fat bikes I've seen (and they are 20" wheeled) are electric. I'd have gone bananas over a 20" folding fattie myself.

I saw 20" Fat Bikes 10+ years ago at Interbike. I recall the name was Burro, they seemed to have a following. Anyone know what's going on with them?

Thanks,
Yan

No you are NOT!!! FYI our new 8H's are the bomb, I expect a 10 year window for these models ( our 9FS is 11 years old ). I have a 24" folder coming ( a sample just arrived for testing ), a drop bar 20" folder in the works. 24" kids bikes arriving soon, with an Indiegogo campaign for kids bikes & 11sp 8H and mini models ( Shimano hubs ).

On top of this I plan on taking a teaching job in the South Pacific. I don't want any more product opportunities!!!

Thanks,
Yan

I am busy enough to keep me out of trouble, I've been sleeping very well. I'm going to live in a rain forest, and meditate alot. I want to make sure everything will be ok with the business once I leave...and things are looking good.

Sorry no Burro style bikes.

Thanks,
Yan

I think someone still makes the Burro bike. It was always a small operation.

Thanks

Custom frames can always be Built, all it takes is Money.

I saw those online. wish they sold them without the electrics.
Buy it as Is then strip out the electrics and rebuild it with something else ..

Saw this at the 2015 Berlin bike show. It's more a folding MTB but these guys could probably build a fat-bike out of their design pretty easily.

Search for a Hummer fatbike.
It looks like it might fold but its going to be heavy and there are fakes which might implode or something.
I think it would be better to buy a regular fatbike and just take the wheels off.

I read about the hummers.... thinking about a 20 inch mongoose fat bike (with extended seat post) and popping the wheels on and off. don't like bike racks for my beetle.
