Wonder if they are going in a new direction after all the frame problems as these seem far nicer.

oh my that actually looks amazing! and I really like the aero frame models it's just downright sexy! We won't be seeing these in North america though as hot as they look.
EDIT: seems like they are doing full sized non folding bikes too with a collab project: https://www.ternbicycles.com/insidete...ons/roji-bikes
but to me full sized hipster bikes are a very busy market already and you'd have to have something really unique to stand out among the massive crowd in this category.

Well, it's either the fork or the head-tube which has to be lengthened to make the geometry jibe. Tern chose the former, probably to save money, and not have to manufacture a new 451 fork. A possible upshot is that now with a 'regular' size fork, there may be more front rack options. I will definitely drop by BRU or MBS to test ride the next time I pass through Sing (which may be in a week)...

Nice bike. Very typical of some of the mini velo styling you see around Tokyo. If anyone really has a desire for one I don't mind freight forwarding stuff. Of course you have to deal with your own customs/taxes/duty etc for your country from JP. My fee is a 6 pack, 12 pack, or even a 24. Depending on your level of "must have it'ness"

nice first post. it would be more accurate to say the "framegate" has been ongoing for 3 years or more with frames still snapping in half as recently as 6-8 months ago and outside the range of tern's recall notice.
