There's the Sunny. There's the Tension-R. And then there will be the SR, a carbon-fork steel minivelo in 'varnish' finish. I have just agreed to purchase an SR frame & fork...

i support this purchase 100%. if they have a steel fork option, i would go with that instead. hmm. dat seatpost.

this looks like a 53cm frame. what's the wheelbase measurement on this beauty?

linberl 08-19-16 09:37 AM

Those are some of the most graceful looking Mini's I've ever seen! Wish they had them here in the US.

I agree. Too bad Bannard went bust. In their brief life, they produced and won awards for their designs.

cool story, but what's the wheelbase measurement on bike frame and fork you purchased. thanks. also, you should find out if your "supplier" has access to the brazed cromo stems...

I don't know because the frame is in Singapore, and I am in the South Pacific. I have agreed to purchase it upon inspection in a few weeks.

Measurements

My pusher reports that the top tube, seat tube (to be cut to size) and wheelbase are 53cm, 70cm, and 103cm, respectively. Given that I am not predominantly tall or short, i think it will fit me just fine...

sounds good then. well, you are in asia where people are munchkins and all live in hobbit homes so, i imagine it will work out perfectly for you given that that is your milieu...

Is there a reason for the holes in the top tube?

Beautiful...

Abu Mahendra 10-15-16 07:54 PM

Same reason as the chain stay bridge, cosmetic accroutrement.

Stunning frame. How can any completed build improve on that? You will have to be extremely discerning to do the frame justice.

Azreal911 10-16-16 07:39 AM

I don't think Abu will let us down based on his past builds ;)

Rick Imby 10-17-16 04:09 PM

Stupid question but the frame is Stainless? I would have guessed Titanium but I have never seen a Titanium frame with contrasting color welding.

I have no doubt the finished bike will be something sweet.

Abu Mahendra 10-17-16 05:18 PM

the frame is steel. cheers.
