Apparently Bannard is undead, and will zombie forward with a new bike, the Achilles.

Nice retro design but I think I like their TensionR and Mixte more.
I thought the saddle was a Brooks that had the sides cut but its some MHL thing.

Sure, but I don't think Bannard would pay for Brooks on their complete bikes. We'll see. I heard the Achilles might arrive as early as next month. Frame only, $660. Yellow, white, black and green.

On the color scheme, a polished crankset and tan sidewall tires would look better, i think...

so.. why did we think they were out of business in the first place? is this bike model new? i'm almost certain i've seen it before.. perhaps that was the 700c version and the mini velo version is new? also, are you now selling bannards?

Well, Bannard Thailand told me Bannard had folded. Bannard Singapore had not heard from them. The Bannard Taiwan FB page had not been updated for months, and one forum member here said they had been bought out by another bike company.

The Achilles is new from what I understand, but it is not a far cry from the SR. Bannard also used to have a similar bike called the Poseidon.

Am I selling Bannards? No. Not yet. Would love to stock frames and do custom builds for people, though...

that would be cool.

i think bannard has an "office" in california. also, the achilles model i have seen previously in 700c:

I'd only deal in minivelo frames. No 700c or wheels bigger than 451 in my Bali Bike Boutique. Alliteration alone will net me some sales, I hope.
