Maximum Weight Question
 

My Dahon Vitesse specifications says the maximum load is 105 Kg's but I have seen people touring with a lot more than that weight?

Front Panniers, Rear Panniers, Tent, etc etc, if a cyclists weight is 95 Kg's then they must be carrying a minimum of 25 Kg's of luggage with no problem at all and they have traveled 100's of km's.

Can the team please give me some feedback on this, your experience and some examples

It doesn't mean mean that 105kg the bike is in one piece and at 106kg it's in pieces. It means that the stress will shorten its lifetime. By how long? Who knows. I'd be a lot more cautious with Aluminium, and with fold-in-half hinges.
