Speedpro TT SRAM DualDrive Grip

My TT is probably 10 years old. The other day there was no issue. Today I got on the bike and noticed that the rubber grip on my Dualdrive was starting to come apart, so much so that it was gooey is some spots? No solvents were ever applied to the grip. Anyone ever experience this type of sudden degradation?

Some rubber deteriorates like that over time. No worries. Regular Shimano MTB triple trigger shifters work with SRAM DualDrive hubs.

The weird part was it that one day the grip was just fine, the next day it started turning into goo.

The hub itself is still going strong after 10 years?

Yes - other than the Pantour front suspension hub, the rear and rest of bike are behaving well.

Good to hear. Mine is only four years old, and still strong. Zero issues. Crisp, accurate, instantaneous shifts time and time again.

My dual drive hub is now well about 10 years old and running faultlessly. But my used tiagra road race right lever laced to it gave up last week.
