Panniers for Tern Cargo and Spartan Racks?

Wondering what panniers people are using with their Tern Cargo Rack and/or Spartan Rack? Just picked up a Verge Tour (loving it) and wondering what works well for people. The Spartan rack seems like it will take a lot of different lowriders but the Cargo Rack is a bit trickier, because it's relatively short (height-wise) compared to most rear racks, which I think will rule out most bungee and hook attachment systems. To complicate matters a little more, the Tour uses the Dual Drive system, and the clickbox above the rear derailleur sticks out a bit, which makes fitting a pannier on that side even tougher. In Tern's video for the Verge Tour, the bike is shown with the Back-Roller Plus in the rear and the Sport Roller Plus up front, so I assume that will work, but I'm looking for options. (I'm also not averse to running front panniers in back--my gear is pretty light and compact in general.) Any suggestions would be welcome.

Know anyone that can Sew you up some bags?

you can buy the mounting parts separately.

make up a mock up in cardboard.

I use front panniers on a front rack.. Bike Friday, not Tern. never owned one..

I recently had a travel bag for my Dahon to fly with at an Awning shop. Material was good and heavy duty. 24 hour turnaround.. Upholstery shops are inexpensive to get stuff made at also.

I have been thinking about buying a couple yards of X-Pac or something similar and making some custom bags. The waterproofing seems pretty tricky but I suppose I could just use drybags inside the panniers. I do have access to a good sewing machine, it could be a fun project.

I think I'm going to try to DIY this. Been sketching and measuring and basically having fun pretending to be an industrial designer. ;) Ordered some X-Pac and Cordura samples from rockywoods.com today to get the ball rolling. I'll post up some process pics when I make some progress.
