Looking for *Integrated* 44T (or so) Brompton Crankset - Or one Compatible

Hello All:

I have a 2012 Brompton - one made before the spider cranks were used. The 54T chainring is too large. I'd like to switch to a 44T without the much, as far as I can tell, higher expense (and trouble) of changing both the BB and the Crankset (and the left crank if I want it to look decent) to the spider/JIS type. I don't use my Brompton frequently, so the BB is fine.

I'm willing to trade my 54T one. Or if someone can point me to something that will work without being a kludge, that would be nice.

The closest thing I've found is this:

STRONGLIGHT ST55 Single Chainset :: 24.00 :: Parts & Accessories :: Components - Gears - Chainsets :: Spa Cycles, Harrogate - The touring cyclists specialist.

Which looks to be almost identical to the stock one I have now. The only trouble is that I'm not sure if it's ISO or JIS. Finding this crankset for sale elsewhere indicates that the newer cranksets of this make may be JIS.

At this point I might even be happy to find even the 50T crankset of the older type.

Any help would be appreciated!

Yea, Strong light may use both...in various product lines* my Koga WTR came with a Stronglight Mygal Crank and a Shimano UN style Cartridge BB..

So swapping over to an M730 crankset worked well , without changing the BB.. [until it needs replacement]

*maybe ISO in their premium road bike line.. but I'm guessing.. they have in the past..

No need to change BB & left crank; if you can find the stock Brompton part.
I think BFold in NYC has them. Need to cut chain as well.

I've looked all over, including there, and nobody seems to carry it any longer. I've read it's discontinued. Should've bought one earlier, I suppose.

I'm buying fietsbob's 50T one. I'll see how that one works. At least it'll be more suitable than the 54T.

Thanks anyway!

Was at BFold yesterday, Saturday. Owner said chainring/crank arm
combos are discontinued. But he has some of the 44T combo in the store.

I had only checked on their website before, then later emailed them. You are right, because I've been in contact with someone there, and they've already shipped one to me. Many thanks for your help!
