Downtube was hacked and we need help

A couple months ago we were hacked and we lost about half of our product reviews. I know we have some fans here. I would love to get back the lost reviews, but that is not happening. If some of you have time could you add a review? Reviews can be added at the bottom of every product page.

Thanks!
Yan

Maybe you can recover some of those looking at web.archive.org . They have snapshots of lots of websites, not perfect but you could give it a try.

They took frequent snapshots of the site, including reviews. I have no experience with restoration from there, other than the most primitive, but maybe there is a way of restoring the whole site to a local folder rather than going through individual cuts and pastes. There is a limit though on the size of some files they back up, but the reviews should be small.

There is strong evidence at this point in time indicating that you were hacked by either N. Korea or Tern Bicycles.

Where are your reviews? Is it in the Testimonials page? Are they stored in an SQL server that you have access to? If you have a copy of the reviews it shouldn't be hard to add them back if they're stored in an SQL server.

I had two reviews. One was held off site by Kudobuzz ( they are intact ). The others were integrated into our shopping cart, those disappeared ( no DB access ). I copied the ones I had over to the cart....but it seems I lost about half.

Thanks,
Yan
