Oyama Skyline In7B anyone?

In some type of unusual “anti Black Friday” marketing strategy, the online bike seller I had at the very top of my list RAISED the price last week on the model I was planning to buy in January by fully 9%. Additionally there is a modest but reasonable (and understandable) shipping fee, but one which is in the minority amongst online sellers.

That increase, and the shipping costs pretty much opened my options up by narrowing the gap between more costly bikes and the formerly less costly bike enough that Im now strongly considering the Oyama Skyline In7B instead which is available at a semi-local-to-me b&m shop, complete with pre purchase test ride, and initial set-up and fine tuning.

The cost for me to drive the roughly 180 mile round trip to that shop, and buy the Missus and I lunch while out is approximately equal to the shipping fee, so Ill call that a wash.

My question is does ANYONE have recent, practical experience with Oyama folders, and in a perfect world the belt drive Skyline? I understand Oyama does NOT use the more standard Gates brand belt, but another brand so the belt drive is my biggest interest. TIA for your input.
