I really didn't realize how much over 62" it was - but it's too big/heavy for me collapsed anyways so I never paid close attention. I really do like the multi-tasking capability of the suitcase>trailer option that you and Bike Friday offer - you don't feel like you're hauling totally dead weight/bulk around, but it's still too big/slow/inconvenient to fold-up and wheel through a museum, for example. I'm going to try a micro 1.5 L/lb solution (I can handle that capacity), but if impractical, I'm OK with dumpster diving and box building - for me, it's worth the total piece of mind (from theft) taking everything inside w/me more places.
