New short cage 11/36
I upgraded my Xootr Swift to a 10 speed. I bought a Shimano zee short cage, trigger shifters, 10 speed cassette and chain. I have a tremendous amount of ground clearance and it shifts beautiful. I also replaced the from chainring to 44. Total cost from Jensonusa under $125 and I did the install.
Highly recommend. |
Pictures please!!!

I did this almost two years ago...
The thread documenting the switch is here.
Note that there are two Shimano 11-36 10-speed cogsets. I have the HG81, which after four years, is still shifting well. I've got the M771 in the parts bin waiting its turn... https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...9a78130e4c.png When I decommissioned the Dash, I moved the transmission to the FSIR. Crisp, accurate shifts time after time, even through three tours. |

only 1 chain ring means you only have to cope with the wrap of big - small. 36-11 , in this case, 25 t. |
