Ways of putting Klickfix stuff on your Brompton?

Hey guys,

I don't know of a way to mount like a Klickfix basket or whatever on a Brompton. Am I missing something? Well if I'm not, I made a little adapter that I'm going to test out. Is this something useful to any of you guys?

I've actually done structural analysis to research that, and it looks like aluminum is pretty overkill for these kinds of loads. Same with the mount I make that goes from the Tern to a Brompton carriage block.

What kind of stresses are you coming up with and how did you get the loads?

The word and people is really so diverse. Klickfix and dahon bags just doesnt work for me, and brompron do bags in much clever ways. So we did just oposite, put brompton stuff on dahon..

I'll have to check up on it again since it's been a while, but I believe it was at least twice what it was rated for and in all sorts of adverse angles. I did it through 3D FEA.

Yeah I agree, that's why I make that adapter! Carradice makes some really nice bags for the Brompton, so I got one for my Tern. Good stuff!

I have a Dahon and put a handlebar extender on the bar, hanging pretty much straight down. I mounted the Klickfix mount on the extender. This keeps the Klickfix mount and the handlebar bag out of the way of the derailleur and brake cables. It works well.
