[Brompton] 30/46 compact chainring?
Hello,
I currently use a 34/46 compact chainring on a post-2013 Brompton — ie. with a JIS square taper bottom bracket —, and was wondering if I could switch to a 30/46 crankset for long climbs.
Thank you/

But you have to think about the insane tork that these litle cranksets put in the hub...

As for the FSA Tempo: Thanks, but I forgot to say I was looking for something a bit more affordable :-)
I've been using the 34/46 for about a year now, and previously, used the 34/50 for a year before that. So far, so good. But then, I'm always easy on the torque, since it's 1) much better on the knees, and 2) more efficient to spin anyway.
The search goes on.
As worst, maybe a triple chainring with the outer ring removed might do the trick.

Generally speaking, how can I make sure a crankset will fit the JIS square taper bottom bracket that comes with a Brompton? And will they all work with the two-speed derailleur on the Brompton?
