406mm Front Wheel Upgrade

A few weeks ago I bought a Yedoo Wolfer kickbike . It was a demo from Interbike last year and I paid $500 shipped. It was a good deal but wheels seem poor quality. The front wheel is 700c and I have a high quality replacement in my garage. The rear wheel is 406mm with a 74mm hub body. I'm looking at 3 choices for upgrade, the first two are from Dahon. The Dahon comp or the Pro from Thorusa.com or the Tern Kinetix pro. I rode the Kinetix on my Verge X10 and it was a nice lite wheel but it is the most expensive of the 3 choices. I'd like to keep the price down and the Dahon comp at $80.00 seems like a good idea but if need be I'll pay for the better wheel . Question is there any real difference in these wheels other than weight? If it helps I'll be using 25mm tires.

Post links , on your narrowed choices..

I just have a Bike Friday , their built wheels probably cost more than you may want to pay ..
given you are saying you only spending $500. on the bike..

What hub you want? Shimano has 8 (Nexus & Alfine)& 11 speed Alfine IGH but there you need a 135 width

Sturmey Archer is offering several options ..
Then there's the whole Derailleur drivetrain sector..

The dahon pro wheels are the best on the market imo, mainly because they have nothing to do with dahon. They are built by wtb using American classic hubs, they roll forever and are light but also strong in my experience.
