Chedech carbon folder test ride
Been commuting on a few folding bikes over the years. Easy to park; handle in traffic, etc. Was able to test ride a carbon model; Chedech.
Might be a consideration to those looking at Bromptons(have 2), Terns, Bike Fridays(have 1 pakiT), etc. Sporty handling comparable to my S type Bromptons, lighter(and cheaper) than a titanium/superlight 6 speed: |
Thanks for the excellent video. So, what's your verdict?
|
Why not pictures of the bike and not your feet? Roger
|
Will it fit a tall rider? What's the weight limit.
FWIW I saw the artist do that song live (twice). Nice pick. |

Looks good
You got good engime

Is the handling more stable/less skittish than a Brompton?
|
Yes, a little description and thoughts on the actual bike would be nice. The weight difference didn't look like much but maybe the carbon just has a nicer ride than the PakIT or Brompton. What did you think of the fold?. At any rate the photos of the bike I have seen before make it a very sleek looking bike, even for a folder. Last question, would you add this to your quiver given the chance? Thanks for posting the sneak peak of this bike.

FWIW I saw the artist do that song live (twice). Nice pick. Manufacturer lists the weight limit at 100kilos/220lbs. Since I'm NYC based; went with a Brooklyn based artist. :) |

Some pros: -fold is identical to Brompton's - quick & compact -fit and finish are top notch; paint quality, how parts mesh together, etc. -sporty handling; quick steering/reaction Some cons: -sporty position more aggressive than non S type Brompton -less accessories available; compared to Brompton, Tern, Dahon, etc Would I buy it? I might consider it if I needed another bike in the future. |

Watch again; plenty of photos I can assure you. Also; try not to get too distracted by my sexy feet.
You may even notice the whole road is painted in artwork. ;) Secondly, I did notice the fantastic artwork. It was a wonderful ride I see,... Was that downtown Manhattan? Or Brooklyn? I haven't been in the city, riding or enjoying the wonderful night life, in quite a while. And I did enjoy the video,...thank you for taking the time to make it. I always enjoy your YouTube posts when I can. :-) |
I watched the video again and it still has less than 1 minute of bike pictures out of a video 6 minutes and 25 seconds long. The video would not make me want to buy the bike but it looks like a nice bike. Roger

First of all,...no distractions allowed. Those little piddies were working too hard. ;-)

The painted street is Doyers in Manhattan. Chinatown, near the Manhattan bridge. The artwork is starting to fade.
