Bag ‘hack’ for a 26” folder?
Morning all, Apparently the ‘Dimpa’ storage bag from IKEA is a perfect fit for a Brompton, and costs £3. Who knew? Well, not me anyway! Does anyone know of a cheap, bigger zip-bag that would fit a 26” folder? I looked at the Vaude MTB bag but it was a) £80 and b) too big. thanks all! |

I had one made at an Upholstery shop. It cost me $100 and they had it the next day. I lined it with a cut up mattress topper---the waffle kind. It works great with a drawstring top. The airlines open it up every time so I would not want them working a zipper on a big bag.

start with some blue tarps for your material add grommets and lace it closed with paracord.. |
Over a decade ago I bought a bag on clearance price from an art materials shop to put my foldup bike with 24 inch wheels into. The bag was intended for artists to carry large flat poster sized materials. I store the bike in that bag but I find that if I want to carry the bike anywhere, it is easier to just carry the bike without the bag.

In the UK when a bag of sand is delivered to your door it comes in a very large cuboid shaped plastic bag which the building merchants do not want back..I have used one of them before now as a bag for a folding bike...I am sure you can find something similar..Try a builders merchants or a DIY store..
