Chainring on a Tern Verge N8

I own the older model of the Verge N8, and I'm thinking of changing the chainring (actually 52t) for a bigger 56 or 58 t litepro. If I buy the new chainring is there anything else I have to take care of in order to make the swap?.

Most likely will have to make the chain longer. Sometimes yes and sometimee not necessary. Roger

Probably a good time to renew/replace, the chain and hub cog (s) at the same time ..

Think about the chainguard if you care about pants not getting stained. The one you have on 52t will not transfer to a bigger chainring. You either need to get a chainring that is designed to work with a guard and this is not common in the intended size (unless you get some ring made specifically for a folder) or get a tad heavier guard that mounts onto the same holes as the chainring. Litepro produces such guards, but you have to make sure that you get right bolts too. Some vendors send guards with the needed long bolts for mounting and some not.
