Recommendations for 20" tire with smooth center and knobbies

I just purchased a used Downtube IXFS that has street tires on it. I would like to install tires with a bit of offroad ability,...suitable for hard pack single track and occasional gravel or sand. My current tires are 20 x 1.5". Looks like I have a bit over 3" between my front shock tubes and my rear triangle stays.
This is a budget build, so looking for reasonably priced tires,...this bike will spend most of its time folded up in my RV.

Suggestions?

Ringworm?

Maxxis Ringworm?

= 20 X 1.95

Would you please measure the width of the rim?

Because then we can consult the famous Schwalbe list!

According to the Schwalbe list, it should be between 25 and 65mm

Well, how would you know if he measured the inside or outside width of the rim? If outside, then he probably has 16mm rims.
