Suggest a good zero-offset seatpost for Dahon/Tern/Fnhon/Crius (i.e. 33.9mm)
I need a 33.9mm seatpost that locates the seat farther forward. The seatpost that came stock on my Dahon has an offset clamp which puts the seat too far back from the bottom bracket than what I like. Other than that, I like everything about the stock seatpost, from what its made of (sturdy aluminum), to how it clamps to the seat, as it's all very secure and durable. If I could get the same thing but with a clamp that doesn't lay the seat back, that would be great. Can anyone here recommend a seatpost that doesn't offset the seat?

I have 3 Dahons with LitePro seat posts on them that do what you want. All bought on EBAY. Roger

Do you have a better photo of the saddle-clamp? The photo that you posted, which shows this part, seems to have been taken from too far away for me to discern which clamp it is. Are you able to find me an example on Ebay of the same seatpost (the same clamp, at least)? Then I could know that I'd be getting something good. I've not seen any on Ebay that are like a zero-offset version of what I'm familiar with. |
Look on EBAY for Lite Pro Dahon seat posts and you will many pictures and closer pictures. They are zero set back, micro adjusting and will go any place on the seat rails. Roger

If your clamp is permanently set to the seat post, can you turn the post around and adjust the clamp to hold the rails? This might move the saddle forward enough for you.

For less than $25 you can have what you want from EBAY. I should have asked what saddle are you using? Mine I used with Brookes saddles. Roger

Having used mine for about 4 years with zero problems after they were put on the bikes I do not know what you are seeing. They are a little fussy to get on as the are 4 adjustable posts to tighten the seat. Get in a plane and fly to southern Wisconsin and you can try mine. It is not counterfeit but the real deal. I am almost 6 feet tall and about 195 pounds and am the owner of three of them. Again no problems at all. This will be my last response as I am starting to think you are just trolling. If the $25 is to much money good luck finding something you can use. Roger
