So I've got a "fake" TERN Verge :-P

Recently I get a frame from a folding bike dealer. It is a bit strange, because there is no logo or tag on it to identify its model.
It is similar to FOHON Tornado, so I guess it could be a variant model or a prototype.

Previously, I repainted a TERN frame. There were still some unused decals left. Since this frame is somehow also similar to Verge, so I came up with an idea:

It is just for fun. :-)
I absolutely mean no commercial use.
Let me know if anyone feels offended.

Thank you.

Are you offering to turn (tern?) our counterfeit bikes into real ones - for a small fee?

It's your bike. Sticker it as you like.

Obviously if you're going to sell it if you choose not to remove the stickers you would need to let the new owner know.

Just make a new pair of stickers that say "coat" and you'd have yourself a Tern Coat.

I don't think there are any Tern factories the frames and forks would be manufactured for them by various companies. Tern is just a brand and doesn't represent a certain quality level. When there was the big Tern recall I seem to remember it only effected the production of one or two factories but not all production made for them. There are only so many major bike brands that manufacture their own bikes (ie. frames and forks) like Giant, Merida and Brompton plus many smaller companies. The big manufacturers like fuji-ta have their own brands like Battle but they are only sold in Asia most of their bikes are rebranded by importers like Dahon, Tern, Cannondale, Trek, Specialized, Bianchi etc.

So you may be rebranding a bike to Tern made by a factory that actually makes Tern anyway.

⬆️ Makes perfect sense. The "Dahon"-branded 9-speed shifter/rear derailleur combo that came from the factory on my Dahon Hemingway is actually a rebranded L-twoo A5 set that's been dead-reliable. If I ever get around to swapping out the factory wheels for a full-carbon 406mm disk brake set with an 11-speed freehub (possible but as of yet unlikely,) I see no reason to not go with that brand again.

That is a pretty paint job, whatever it is.

The handlepost latch mechanism is identical to that on my two Dahons (Helios XL and Mu XL). Tern handleposts are nothing like that.
