Next question: advice for trying to get saddle (much) further back?

Hello,
Can anyone advise is there a seat and seat post set up that could get me a few inches further back?

So in June I posted about my broken Speed Pro TT frame (Sourcing an alternative frame to replace broken Speed Pro TT.)
I sourced a Speed TR for the replacement frame, and an engineer did the strip down and build.
My niggle now is the distance seat to handle bars feels much closer than previously, not sure exactly why, and I can't get really sat in the way I want. Admittedly the builder didn't use the seat and seatpost from the TT, everything else is. When I push the seat a little bit back, just going just a half inch too far then the seat ends up pointing downwards and that ends up counter productive, as far as feeling much closer all over again, and entirely weird.

Is there any kind of seat and seat post that can get my position much further back? Am I overlooking another way to do this?

Any advice gratefully appreciated, again!

Yes, there is at lest one seatpost with a huge setback of 50mm from Ergotec:https://www.ergotec.de/en/products/s...kt/futura.html

Its only available in 27.2mm but if your seatpost diameter is bigger, here are adapters.

You should be able to adjust the tilt of the saddle; you may need to undo the clamp to position it adequately and then tighten the clamp back. This is assuming you are within the saddle rail limits.

Why aren't you reusing the original seatpost, you should be able to reuse the kore seatpost but, it might require a specific saddle due to the I-beam clamp? If you don't have it and like it:

But no Saddle available.

The other option would be to increase the reach; to do that, you would need to swap the 40mm syntace stem (between the post and handlebar) for a longer one like the 60mm (CH White has some) or check if the tern fit. But, you will need to unwrap the bar and remove at least 1 brake lever.

The guys that did the build for me didn't give it back! I've just called them now, and retrieved it and all is well. So much better - the Kore gets way further back.

I just need to keep an eye out now for future replacement i-beam saddles over time.

Thank you for that info as well, that's a good shout, and then there is tons of flexibility for actually moving the saddle a little bit forward again as I currently have it all the way back, IE the rail is clamped right at the front. That's probably a forthcoming purchase.

Thanks again both!
