Reach Folding Bikes
This is a new name (for me, at least). The bikes look pretty good, although on the pricey side. According to the website, prices range from $1100 - $2500. The website is:

The photo DOES look promising. Probably more rigid than something like a KHS or Dahon that have a single, low-step-over tube. I can't get the link to work (server error) but I'll keep trying.
Thanks for posting!

Sometimes, I find that the link will work in IE but not in my default browser, Firefox. Anyway, here's another picture from the site. This is the top of the range model, the Road bike. They have 3 models in all, City, Trail, and Road. As you say, they do look pretty rigid. From their site:
"Reach used diamond frame structure which is rarely seen in folding bike category and it's much stronger than ordinary folding bikes."
However, I think the folding mechanism is not as straightforward as on Dahon, KHS, Giant models.

"Revolutionary Trailing Link Suspension"
Hah - I had a trailing link suspension front fork on my Schwinn banana bike back in the early 1970's. That's back when Schwinn's were actually Schwinn's, though.
