GoBike update
Well, I finally got my GoBike back. Unfortunately it needs almost as much doing to it, after it's all supposed to have been done.
The Rohloff has got the cables routed the way that R & M do it on their Birdy (i.e. in a loop above the back hub) and it has my old derailleur as a chain tensioner! So I have a bad chain-line and I'm still stuck with a DR that gets full of dust & mud, and that gets clonked by all the barriers on the Taff Trail.
The Speed-drive was fitted because there was no room for a bigger front chain ring (the swing arm was too close), unfortunately it was fitted with a 34 tooth ring (a lot SMALLER than the original 52 tooth!). I've now bought a 48 tooth. Because of this , I now have 28 mega low gears, only about the top 4 or 5 are worth using, as I'm not in the habit of trying to ride up The Eiffel Tower!
I have a plastic coated hydraulic line which is slightly too short when folding. so I've had to buy new braided stainless (& coated) hydraulic lines.
The front wheel is still 16 spoke (because there's still a DR to accomodate when folding)
There are no polished trouser guards.
Black cables instead of silver.
No mudguards.
No luggage rack.
And no time left to fit my tracking device yet!
Here's a link to a PDF
Non-stop touring for a while so it's doubtful that I'll get much of a chance to sort things out on the road.
