damm the Schwalbe Racer is not in there, nor the Schwalbe Stelvio.....
also .... different tubes can make a HUGE difference

So, according to the chart and artificial testing conditions (at least Ian is honest about it), Bromptons dominate. But many of us already knew that.

Is anyone running Greenspeed Scorchers in the 406 size? I am a sucker for stats (no matter how poor the methodology, bias, or limited nature of the trial!) and these results confirm the findings of a few other reviews I have read (in the 349 size)

406 Scorchers are just now beginning to ship (to the U.S. anyway). They were held up because the very first batches of 349s were too large such that they fell off the rims, so Greenspeed was going to do more extensive beta-testing with the 406s.

I am awaiting a reply from a UK recumbent specialist; but in the US, Hostel Shoppe are advertising them - whether they have any in stock is another question.

Went through the order process for two 406 Scorchers; their automated system told me "Available: 0". Calhoun Cycle doesn't have any either, but I did notice the Stelvios are one sale. ;p

For those in the UK, the Scorcher is available from Westcountry Recumbents. However, I am going to wait a few weeks until they get the kevlar-lined model. It is not quite as fast as the ordinary "vanilla" version, but puncture resistance is (sometimes) important to me!
