That's so cool! But what does the little one hold on to? And is it quick-release?

That's some insane Heath Robinson stuff. Love it heh...
Somewhere last year (can't remember where - sorry) I saw some article about an articulated Brompy where someone had made a custom frame part that clamped to the seatpost of the front bike and then replaced the headtube of a second brompy at the hinge so that you had a three wheel articuated tandem - kinda like a towed kids trainer but all the same size and rather elegant. Very cool it was too.

Follow the link given for detail, video etc. Holds on to the bars/my hands. Removes in about 30 sec to leave only the captain's timing ring semi-permanently attached to the Brompton.

Duh! I was so engrossed with the picture that I didn't see the link! Great stuff! I especially like the last part of the video in which your son pedals a bit for you. I've promised my son that when he gets older, he can pedal me around anywhere he wishes. :D

Can you ever stop finding things to do on a Brompton? Those little flexible bikes keep on delivering the goods! Placing a little child on a safe platform-like extention as pictured gives the little one security and confidence when riding with one of his/her's parents or other caregivers-much more than seating him/her in the back. Plus good memories of riding on a folding bike-enough to last a lifetime. With the addition of hopefully encouraging the little one to bike for his/her entire life!
