Travel bag suitable for folders (UK supplier)

Folks,

just taken delivery of the wheeled version from here:

http://www.hockeydirect.co.uk/index....30e60d07ecacdc

It's currently on sale, £25. It seems very strong, weighs ~ 5K, & my Strida vanishes inside it! Mind you, it is a long, skinny bike when folded (which I like).

I'd imagine lots of other folders would fit in it + room for other luggage thus protecting your precious bike :-)

I'm going to test it on a flight to France next week, so if anyone's interested, I'll post how I get on.

How did you get on - am about to buy a strida in London and need to take it back to Glasgow with easyjet.

Did the hockey bag work out?

Ok, I'm back in the UK (no phone, hence no email etc. where we stayed.)
At the last minute, I decided that the bag could easily take 2, probably 3 Stridas, so I thought "hmm, low cost airline, already wants more cash to take hold baggage....." & I decided as this was the first time we've taken the Stridas by air, why not use the original shipping box? Weight with clothes etc. was ~ 23 Kilo's per box.

Departing the UK, no problems. Decent folk at the sharp end, using common sense about travellers & baggage.
So, boxes arrived at destination in France ok.

Return journey: plane 1/4 full, checked in 1.5 hrs before flight due out. Girl on desk very uptight about something, may have been a personal problem, but did the airline she works for no favours - awful Customer relations, too long to relate here. There should be a system whereby if a member of staff has problems the airline gets a stand-in until said person is back on planet Earth.

I got a bad feeling straightaway, & sure enough, only 1 box arrived back in the UK. So, I await to see if the other materialises, along with the clothes etc. it also contained.

We'll use the hockey bags when we go much further afield, & just use them as storage containers in the loft in the meantime as they're strong & pretty spacious :-)

Have you got your Strida yet? I'd be interested to know how you get on with Easyjet as we're contemplating taking them to Edinburgh in the next fortnight, either by Easyjet or (possibly not) FlyBe.
